Privacy Policy

We make every available effort to protect the privacy of the users of this site as well as our Members, team members, volunteers and staff more broadly.

Some of the information may be shared with third parties for the necessary functions of the website, safety purposes, payment processing purposes, communication purposes and so on.

It is our policy to not share any information about our guests to law enforcement unless they hold a valid warrant or unless we feel that someone is in imminent danger, in our sole discretion.

Members will receive emails from us. Some are directly related to their Membership and are required. Others (such as updates on upcoming programming), are optional and contain a link to unsubscribe if desired.

Refunds Policy

EVENTS & PROGRAMMING: All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds unless an event is canceled by us, in which case you will receive a full refund.

MEMBERSHIP FEES: All membership sales are final. Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

MERCHANDISE: All sales are final. We do not provide refunds. If you receive an incorrect item (e.g., wrong size) or a damaged product, contact us, and we will arrange for a replacement. If a replacement is not possible, we will work with you to find a solution.

Code of Conduct

1. Respect: Everyone must conduct themselves in a manner that is considerate of the venue(s) as well as the staff, volunteers and fellow members. In addition, disruptive or insensitive behavior that impacts the community or neighbours of the venues is strictly prohibited.

2. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: All individuals are expected to treat others with respect and dignity. Harassment, violence, verbal or physical abuse, sexual harassment, and any form of bigotry—including but not limited to racism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, or other discriminatory actions—are strictly prohibited.

3. Adherence to Event Criteria: Our events are trans and non-binary inclusive, but membership doesn’t override event policies. If an event is for guys, that includes trans men and non-binary folks who align with the event. But it’s not open to everyone. Members should also be ready to follow the dress code. Misusing a membership to bypass event rules isn’t allowed.

4. No harassment, transphobia, or body shaming: If someone was let into the event, they belong here. No judging, no harassing based on gender, presentation, or body type. Move along if someone isn’t your thing.

5. Consent Policy: We take matters of consent seriously. Consent is always required. Always ask before touching, playing, or interacting with others. No means no. Consent is ongoing and can be revoked at any time. If someone isn’t respecting boundaries, let any member of our team (or the venue’s staff) know.

6. Dress Code Policy: Dress codes set the tone. Members are expected to follow the dress codes of our events to keep the vibe going. Don’t make it awkward for everyone else.

7. Your wristband stays on—period. Wristbands are required for entry and re-entry. If you take it off or claim to have “lost it,” you may be denied re-entry. If your wristband actually breaks, see the host for a replacement before leaving the venue.

8. Wear street-appropriate clothing outside. If you leave the venue for any reason (smoke break, grabbing something from your car, etc.), you must be dressed appropriately before stepping outside.

9. No Outside Food or Beverages: It is not permitted to bring any outside food, drinks, alcohol or other consumables into our events.

10. No Smoking, Vaping or Drugs: Smoking/vaping including tobacco, weed and other substances is not permitted inside any venue for our events. All smoking/vaping must be done outside in front of the building 10 meters from the front entrance. Illegal drugs are not permitted at any time.

11. Comply with Security Checks: All bags and persons are subject to inspection by security and/or venue personnel at any time. You may be asked to discard prohibited items or leave them with a member of the team before being granted entry to events.

12. Age Restrictions: For alcohol-inclusive events, all guests must be 19+. Other events may have other posted age restrictions. ID is required to be shown or you may be denied entry. We expect you to bring ID for every event, no matter how young or old you look.

13. Possible Actions If Rules Are Not Followed: If a member or attendee is found responsible for prohibited behaviors or is in violation of the Membership Terms of Service or this Code of Conduct, management reserves the right to refuse services up to and including ejection from the event and/or revocation of membership without refund.

Membership ticket discounts and perks apply exclusively to FAGS events and do not apply to the following:

  • Events held outside of Toronto, Ontario (Eligibility may vary. Check event details.)
  • Third-party events held at partner venues (e.g., The Lair, Flip, or other venues).
    • The Lair and Flip are host venues for most FAGS events, but not all events held at these venues qualify for membership discounts or perks.
    • Only events explicitly branded as FAGS events are eligible for membership benefits.
  • Specific FAGS events held in partnership with third-party organizers.
    • Currently ineligible FAGS events:
      • Bark Social (held in partnership with Pup Archie)

4. Temporary Event-Specific Membership

Individuals who purchase a ticket at the door or online without a full membership will be issued a Temporary Event-Specific Membership, valid only for that event.

Temporary Membership does not include:

  • Ticket discounts or partner brand discounts
  • Merchandise credits
  • VIP perks or line bypass privileges
  • Any additional benefits associated with full membership

A $1 fee applies in addition to the full ticket cost as part of the temporary membership issuance. This fee may be waived at staff discretion.

All attendees issued a Temporary Event-Specific Membership are subject to the Membership Terms & Conditions, the Membership Code of Conduct, all event rules, and all venue rules.

5. Full Membership Duration & Renewal

  • All memberships are valid only for the calendar year in which they are purchased (January 1 – December 31).
  • Membership benefits, including ticket discounts, merchandise credits, and additional perks, expire at the end of the calendar year and do not carry over.
  • To continue receiving membership benefits and discounts in the following year, members must separately purchase a new membership for that year.

6. Ticket Purchase Policies

  • Online Purchases: Full Membership discounts are applicable only for tickets purchased online. Members are encouraged to buy tickets online to avail of their respective discounts. Discounts for tickets apply to ALL events operated by Freakin’ Awesome Gay Stuff, including premium event tickets. All tickets are subject to availability and additional taxes and fees.
  • Verifiable against ID: All ticket purchases made online must have the name of the ticket holder entered and should be verifiable against government issued ID. Initials, first names only, nicknames or any other format that cannot be verified against ID are not allowed. Failure to put legal name on ticket holder may result in the forfeiture of the ticket and denial of entry.
  • At-Door Purchases: Tickets purchased at the door do not qualify for membership discounts. A nominal $1 fee is charged for a temporary event-specific membership, which can be waived at the discretion of the staff.

7. “Bring-A-Friend” Ticket Policy

  • “Bring-A-Friend” tickets may be redeemed for any eligible non-premium event but are exclusively tied to the member who owns them.
  • The accompanying guest will be issued a temporary event-specific membership for the duration of the event.
  • The member must be present at the event for their “Bring-A-Friend” ticket to be valid.
  • If the member does not attend the event, their “Bring-A-Friend” ticket is automatically void and cannot be transferred, rescheduled, or redeemed by another person.

8. Use-It-or-Lose-It Policy

  • Ticket Validity: Purchased or redeemed tickets for a specific event are valid only for that event. If a member or ticket holder fails to use their ticket for the event it was purchased or redeemed for, the ticket is forfeited, and no refunds, credits, or rollovers will be provided.
  • Discount Usage: Membership discounts apply only to online ticket purchases and are valid only for the specific event they are used for. Each membership tier allows a limited number of discounted tickets per event. If a member does not use the full number of discounted tickets available to them for a given event, the unused discounts do not carry over to future events.
    • Example: A Gold Member is entitled to 60% off the first two tickets per event and 20% off any additional tickets, up to 5 tickets.
  • If the Gold Member only purchases one ticket for an event instead of two, they do not get an extra 60% off ticket at a future event.
  • Similarly, if a Silver Member, who gets 40% off their first two tickets per event, only buys one ticket, the second unused 40% discount does not roll over to another event.

9. Merchandise Credit Policy

  • Merchandise credits apply only to Freakin’ Awesome Gay Stuff (FAGS) merchandise and all credits will be distributed digitally.

  • Credits do not apply to:

    • KOVARX swimwear or merchandise

    • Merchandise sold by any other partner business or sponsor

  • Merchandise is coming soon—availability and eligible products will be announced once launched.

  • All merchandise credits expire at the end of the calendar year in which the membership was purchased.

10. Pricing

  • Dynamic Pricing: Membership prices decrease monthly to reflect the diminishing number of events remaining in the year and price decreases may vary in tier. Membership prices will be announced at the beginning of every month. Further discounts to memberships may apply according to other promotional pricing.

11. Event Applicability and Entry

  • Membership perks and benefits apply exclusively to Freakin’ Awesome Gay Stuff (FAGS) events for the calendar year they are purchased in.
  • Purchasing a membership or ticket does not guarantee entry into an event. Entry is subject to event-specific criteria, such as gender identity and dress code requirements. As a membership-based event service, we reserve the right to deny or revoke access if attendees do not meet the entry criteria or violate event rules and/or venue rules.

12. Code of Conduct

  • Members are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct, which emphasizes respect, inclusivity, and consent. The Code of Conduct is available on our website at https://gaystufftoronto.com
  • Memberships can be revoked at any time if members violate the terms of service or venue rules.

13. Age Restrictions

  • All attendees must be at least 19 years old, the legal drinking age in Ontario, to participate in events where alcohol is served.

14. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Members and attendees must adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations, including any public health guidelines in effect at the time of the event.

15. Force Majeure

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics) leading to event cancellations or modifications, we will offer a full or partial refund or a transferable event voucher, which includes temporary membership for the event it is redeemed for.

16. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other incidents that occur during events, except as required by law. Attendees participate at their own risk.

17. Privacy Policy

  • We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected during membership registration and event participation will be used solely for organizational purposes and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

18. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Membership purchases are non-refundable. Event ticket refunds are subject to specific event policies, which will be communicated at the time of ticket purchase.

19. Intellectual Property

  • All content, branding, and materials are the exclusive property of Freakin’ Awesome Gay Stuff and are not to be used without explicit permission.

20. Dispute Resolution

  • If you have any concerns or disputes regarding your membership or our events, please contact us at support@gaystufftoronto to seek resolution.

21. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.

22. Amendments

  • These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Updates will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or other communication platforms.

By purchasing a membership or attending our events, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
