Terms & Policies

Who We Are

Awesomer Inc. which is also known as Freakin’ Awesome Gay Stuff (“we” and/or “us”) is an event company specializing in LGBTQ+ events in Canada. We do not own venues and we are not responsible for the sale of liquor or food items that the venues we operate our venues in may sell to you. If you have questions or concerns about the venue itself, please contact the venue directly. We have no ability to control anything related to purchases made for the sale of alcohol or food.

Liability Policy

Liability is limited to the price of your ticket and your coat check fee, if applicable.

Refund Policy

All ticket sales (and coat check fees if applicable) are final. We do not issue refunds unless we must cancel or reschedule an event. If we cancel an event, you will be refunded automatically for the price of your ticket (processing fees / Universe’s fees are non-refundable).

Dress Code Policy

Some events contain a mandatory dress code. Those who do not adhere to the dress code may be asked to leave without a refund. Please ensure that you have read and understand the dress code for any event that you purchase tickets for. If you have questions about the dress code for an event, we encourage you to ask us before you purchase your tickets.

Trans Inclusion Policy

Some events we run are exclusively for men who identify as gay & bisexual. These events ALWAYS include both Cis and Trans men. Transphobia isn’t cute and is not tolerated at our events. Transphobic behaviour may lead to a temporary or permanent ban from our events. If you are asked to leave an event due to transphobic behaviour, you will NOT receive a refund.

Some guys ask us: “What if I am not into Trans men?” Our events are consent focused, so if you are not into someone whether they are Trans or not, a simple “no” or “no thank you” is an acceptible and appropriate response. If someone says “no” to you, please move on. No means no. Period.

Anti-Racism Policy

All of our events are open to all ethnicities. Racism is not tolerated at our events and may result in a temporary or permanent ban. If you are asked to leave an event due to racist behaviour, you will NOT receive a refund.

Consent Policy

Consent is required at all times at all events. “No means no” is a phrase we use to make it clear that any non-consensual behaviours may lead to the offender being removed from an event without a refund. In more heinous situations, the actions may lead to a temporary ban, a permanent ban, or even police involvement. Keep in mind that consent can fluctuate – consent can be revoked or renewed at any time. If you are asked to leave an event due to non-consensual behaviour, you will NOT receive a refund.

Lost & Stolen Items Policy

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. While we make every effort to ensure that our events contain measures to protect you and your belongings, any losses are solely your responsibility. In the event that you lose an item, we will do our best to help you find it but we make no guarantees or warranties of any kind. We highly suggest that you leave valuables at home.

Some events have complimentary coat-check and others require a fee for the service. In either case, coat check is a value-added service we provide and should not be mistaken for a guarantee of the safety of your items. While it is extremely rare that items are lost or stolen while in coat check, we cannot make any guarantees or warranties of any kind as it relates to this service.

Privacy Policy

We use the information we collect about you such as your name, email address, and past events you’ve bought tickets for and/or attended for the purposes of marketing future events to you and/or sharing offers from our partners. We do not sell your information to third parties.

Some events may include partnerships with other individuals, companies, or organizations in which case, a limited amount of data may be shared with those third parties. Whenever possible, we share data as much as possible without including your personal information. For example, we may share data like the number of attendees or demographics data like what city you are from without necessarily disclosing your name or email address.

If you do not wish to be on our email list, you have choices. You can click unsubscribe on marketing emails to be removed. Some emails, such as emails containing your tickets – will continue to be sent as these are necessary emails without which you wouldn’t be able to get into the events.
